TDV Entrance Exam - The Design Village Entrance Exam

TDV Entrance Exam 2022 will be conducted in online mode on June 19, 2022. The entrance exam is being conducted for admission to the UG and PG courses. TDV Entrance Exam application process 2022 is underway. 

The Design Village conducts TDV Entrance Exam to offer admission to aspirants in design programmes offered on its campus. All undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by The Design Village (TDV) have been developed as well as validated by l’école de Design Nantes Atlantique. Apart from this, TDV offers a full-time four-month masterclass in urbanity and architecture in cooperation with Dessau Institute of Architecture. All UG and PG degrees at TDV are offered by Shri Venkateshwara University.

Aspirants are eligible to take TDV entrance exam 2022 for undergraduate course admissions if they have:

• Cleared or are appearing for their higher secondary (10+2) or any other equivalent qualifying exam like AISSCE/ IB/ ISC.

Or

• A pass grade in their senior secondary school exam which is conducted by the national open school with a minimum of five subjects.

Note: Aspirants applying for admission in BDes in the Space Design programme at TDV and who possess a valid NATA score do not need to appear for TDV entrance exam but have to appear for the interview/ portfolio review round directly.

To meet The Design Village eligibility criteria 2022 for PG programmes aspirants need to possess a degree or equivalent qualification in their chosen subject or even a related discipline including creative industries, humanities and social sciences qualifications.

Apart from this, the eligibility criteria state that the candidate needs to be graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks at the qualifying level. Candidates need to have completed their graduation from any recognised university in India or abroad open to all nationals (Indian/foreign).

Candidates need to take the entrance exam conducted for Design Village Admissions. The exam comprises of writing, sketching and model making exercises. Along with this examination process, aspirants need to submit their portfolio. The official website informs: “TDV looks for portfolios that demonstrate an ability to communicate ideas and concepts with imagination, creativity, clarity, and originality. You may include any creative work – single works or developed series that explores a particular subject or personal vision”.

Candidates who perform well in above-mentioned examination round need to appear for the interview round. The personal interview round is conducted with a panel of Jurors.

Step 1: Fill Application Form

Aspirants need to fill their application form for The Design Village admission in PG programmes online. In TDV Entrance Exam application form 2022, candidates need to fill their personal details, education related details, work experience (if any), extra-curricular activities and statement of purpose. The Statement of Purpose should not be more than 200 words. Further, candidates need to attach all the relevant documents, select their test centre and pay their TDV application fee in order to successfully complete the application process.

Step 2: Appear for Interview Portfolio Review

Aspirants are advised to carry their portfolio along with them for the interview round.
